Hunt, D.D.S.
Dr. Jonnie Hunt is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board
of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Hunt, a native of Morgan City, graduated from Morgan City
High School, Louisiana State University, and LSU School of
Dentistry. She has completed a two year residency in pediatric
dentistry from LSU School of Dentistry in affiliation with
Children's Hospital of New Orleans. Dr. Hunt has received
training in anesthesia, treatment of medically and physically
compromised patients, orthodontics, and growth and development of
children.
During her doctoral training at LSU School of Dentistry, Dr. Hunt
was the recipient of the American Society of Dentistry for Children
Award. She has traveled to remote areas of Mexico as a missionary to
provide dental care for the underprivileged. Dr. Hunt has
presented research in dental biomaterials through the International
Association of Dental Researchers in Vancouver, Canada and San
Diego, California
Since 2003 Dr. Hunt has served as the Greater Baton Rouge National
Children's Dental Health Month Chairperson. She has also
served as an officer for numerous years on the Greater Baton Rouge
Dental Association.
Dr. Hunt and her husband, Dr. Michael Bond, reside in Baton Rouge
with their son Ryder.
Brooke
A. Wood, D.D.S.Dr.
Brooke Wood is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of
Pediatric Dentistry and has been with Pediatric Dental Specialists
since 2007.
Dr. Wood received an undergraduate degree in biological
sciences at Louisiana State University and continued on to dental
school at the LSU School of Dentistry. She completed a residency in
pediatric dentistry at the LSU School of Dentistry in affiliation
with Children’s Hospital of New Orleans, and has received training
in anesthesia, treatment of medically and physically compromised
patients, orthodontics, and growth and development of children.
During her postgraduate training at the LSU School
of Dentistry, Dr. Wood received the American Academy of
Pediatric Dentistry Predoctoral Student Award and the Community
Dentistry and Dental Public Health Award. She has traveled to remote
areas of Mexico as a missionary, where she provided dental care and
surgery to the underprivileged. Dr. Wood has presented research
at the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American
Academy of Dental Research, and remains active in the Greater Baton
Rouge Dental Association.
Dr. Wood and her husband, Dr. Charlie Wood, reside
in Baton Rouge. They enjoy LSU sports, spending time with family and
traveling.
